Heavens, yes. It really does set the tone for the HRA ceremony, doesn't it? As in all Freemasonry there are many layers in every aspect - and this book concentrates on just one level - Having said that there are times in the HRA ceremony - I can well imagine sitting in a tent in the desert. We were given a copy of one of J.S.M. Ward's books on the HRA, and from that it would seem the emphasis of the rituals he describes is different from that of the Sydney working, just as we see in the Mark. I get what you mean with that tent, though. We all have a wilderness within us. h.g.w., Cora -- International Order of Co-Freemasonry "Le Droit Humain", British Federation Lodge Light of Amen-Ra No. 717, Orient of Surbiton Phoenix Triangle, Orient of Southampton Mark Lodge Nephthys No. 32, Quarries of Surbiton HRA Triangle The Hidden Glory, Vault of Surbiton Post #17880 Cora BCora B Posted 29/01/2010 21:01 Fellow Group: Forum Members Last Login: Yesterday @ 23:26 Posts: 346, Visits: 757 wayne cowley (29/01/2010)Many congratulations Cora - bet it was worth the wait Wayne Totally, completely and utterly, Wayne. It had to be yesterday - it was the one day that "We Three" came together - I was twinned in the HRA to a very dear friend of mine, and we were made Companions by one of the brightest lights in our Order, and one whom we both love dearly. It had to be so. Whistler,A kind thought. I'm not sure we have a "local" branch of LDH in Scotland, We do have the Order of the Eastern Star, and White Shrine, but not Masonry per se. I think she's quite content with what she has, and having supported me through the Chair on a number of occasions, does not want further involvement. I do however wish Bro./Companion Cora well on her path, and salute everyones' quest, whatever their Obedience. Ever since I first read Wilmshurst's Meaning of Freemasonry back in 2005 I knew this would be The Big One, but never in a million years could I have envisioned how big. And how do you envision the unfathomable? Today is the third day after my ceremonies (we do the ceremony of Excellent Master (Passing of the Veils) and Exaltation) as two separate, consecutive ceremonies), and the first day I'm starting to feel a little clearer; a little more grounded, yet still "There" and "Here" at the same time. Nowhere near back within normal functioning parameters yet, though. It'll come.
