 Brethren

Are there any brethren coming to South Africa for the FIFA 2010 world cup ?

Will you pack in your regalia ? Let me know and if you in my area we could visit some lodges.

Let me know,

Fraternal greetings

Brother

I am sure after last night's draw there will be more interested Masons that might take you up on your offer.

Personally I am not a supporter of football but from what I understand and read about it this competition should be avoided at all costs. It is likely to be a very dangerous place to be. Football fans from Europe are notorious trouble makers, especially english supporters. There is likely going to be a high degree of hooliganism, drunkenes and violence.

Rugby, cricket and other sports very little or no trouble.. football is an excuse for all out warfare to a section of English and other European supporters.

Don't forget that the 2011 Rugby World Cup will be held in New Zealand. We are very busy getting ready for it with big upgrades to many of out top stadiums. The visiting teams will be hosted in many of our smaller towns so they will bet a taste of NZ life.

My bad. I meant elsewhere for the 2012 London Olympics. Now what about my visiting NZ? That would be just as far as I could get from London during that farce.

Cynical, but true, Bro Lauderdale. I am sick to the teeth with Foxtel trying to sell me the Winter Olympics on satellite TV, and it's put me right off Michael Buble. That's right Michael "you just haven't met me yet" and at this rate you never will, mate.

With all this hoo-ha over Vancouver, I dread the soccer World Cup. Fortunately the London Olympics are too far away for me to fulminate about.

There that's better, now for my second cup of coffee this morning.
