If this book were to become a film, there would have to be a lot of corrections of Masonic facts.

I agree, but would they bother or dismiss the mistakes as "Dramatic Licence"?

I noticed on one of the flaps of the book's paper dust jacket two websites one for the book and to other to the author. One offers a blog, I was thinking of informing them that there a two Jurisdictions of Scottish Rite here in the states. I see the Dan Brown lives in the New England Area not far from the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction of Scottish Rite in Lexington, MA. Thought at least he should know. True it's not in Washington, DC nor as eye popping as the Southern Jurisdiction. I never took notice of the House of the Temple till a few years ago. Yes i have been to Scottish Rite outside of my Jurisdiction. As for headquarters I never gave it a thought.

I will have to look at that part again. Could "Alex Toil" be an anagram? Is the watch one with Masonic Emblems on the dial instead of the usual numbers or marks? I have one like that at home.

The letters of Alex Toil can be rearranged to form Leo Taxil as in the Leo Taxil Hoax.

Well I've finished the book and enjoyed it as much as The Davinci Code.

Much as they liked to discuss and quote parts of TDC in opposition of us, will the antis take on board what Dan has now said in favour of us?

Yes I will either go to see this or wait till the DVD comes out and watch it in the comfort of my own home rather than some expensive and uncomfortable cinema.

i have read the three main brown books, and i found that the fast pace of the books a wee bit annoying! i have always believed that truth makes itself known and when i read the Da Vinci code i found the subject matter to ring true in certain points ( i wont bore you by breaking it down) Angels and demons seems a bit strange to me, I'm not sure if it was because of the LHC, the anti-matter or the fact the the pope had a son!
the lost symbol was a good read but again there was something about that seemed far fetched at times. but the thing i was expecting never actually happens. in the Da Vinci code Browns stance against the church was one of mistrust and apprehension , the lost symbol seemed to look on freemasonry almost reverently almost sycophantly. perhaps some of Browns family or friends are in the craft and he didn't wish to offend them or maybe closer to the mark the hospitality that he was shown during his research had a lasting effect on him. In the future film that is penciled in i would like to see someone other than Ron Howard direct, I'm not really a fan.

Ramires : Why does the sun come up? Or are the stars just pin holes in the curtain of night, who knows? What I do know is that because you were born different, men will fear you...

I found the book ok, just entertainment whilst traveling on the train. It's not a classic just a book about a topic that has always been semi controversial. I also think that "Joe Public" has a thirst for religious stories just look at 'Raiders of the lost ark' ,'Temple of Doom', 'Devils Advocate', 'Kingdom of Heaven', 'National Treasure pt 1&2' the list just goes on and on.

On another note this is exactly what Mr Brown wants for all brethren to discuss his book, this is obviously a great way to sell additional books. This is purely my opinion, Mr Brown has become extremely wealthy due to his books, like I said previously the biggest sellers are the ones that have religious undertones.
